Halo Infinite was released during the day yesterday and it is already gaining immense popularity in the gaming community. With Halo being an institutional game for many gamers, this release hits the nostalgia points all while being the “shiny new toy” out there. On the 20th anniversary of the original Halo release, 343 Industries surprised everyone by releasing the multiplayer before the release of the campaign. The results of this are Halo Infinite taking over Twitch, with many bigger names playing since the game came out yesterday.

Of those bigger names, you can see players like Dr. Disrespect, CourageJD, Dr. Lupo and OpTic Zlaner teaming up to take out the lobbies. In their respective streams, there were over 60,000 people watching them play the game. This is the first Halo game launch where a PC version of the game is out as well. This means that players on PC and Xbox have been getting their fill of the Microsoft behemoth. Playstation players though are in a bit of a pickle. With Microsoft allowing the game to be on PC they are still holding firm on offering their prized possession to the competition. With the team at Halo releasing the multiplayer before the campaign, gamers are getting their feet wet right out of the gate. The campaign will come out at a later date with the rest of the content planned for Halo Infinite as well. You can buy this section of the game when it releases for sixty dollars. It is very likely though, that we will see most of the Halo community spending their money on the multiplayer battle pass instead of the campaign.
